There are four kinds of sentences:

1. Telling sentences tell us something or state a fact.
2. Asking sentences ask a question.
3. Exclamatory sentences show excitement.
4. Command sentences command or tell someone to do something.

There are two things to remember about Command sentences:

1.Always begin with a capital letter and end with a period.
2.When writing command sentences, it is often polite to begin with the word please.
