Lesson Excerpt
1. Students will write a list of their family celebrations during a one calendar year period with the help of the parent[s]/guardian[s]. The list should include family member birthdays, parents wedding anniversary, religious events and other family-related activities celebrated throughout the year. Students will bring photographs of family members to mark on timeline [i.e. A photograph of the student’s mother next to the mother’s birthday on the timeline].
2. The teacher will provide a list of annual state holidays for each student.
